New here? Me, too. š«¶
For a while now, Iāve felt the urge to scratch a waned writing itch. Ten years ago, I quit a full-time corporate sales job and came home to be a full-time homeschool mama and farm wife. That morphed into starting a photography business and then a blog (back when blogging was a āthing.ā) I then changed course again and started a YouTube āvlogā (think video blog - weird, I know). Every chapter of my life has served a purpose, even if itās taken hindsight (and a lot of God walk talks up and down our quarter-mile dirt drive) to see. Iām still working all of that out, and Heās still working on me. Enter this space for such a time as this, I believe. It just feels āwrite.ā (If you stick around, youāll find my love for Jesus, beef, butter, and puns. They really do all make the world go round.) Anyhoo (a favorite word of mine), Iām glad youāre here, and I hope youāll stay. Iāve been longing for a place to hash out middle-aged motherhood, walking in the freedom of forgiveness (insert a very stained past), finding joy in the ordinary (itās always there), and Hope in the hard. I know Iām not alone in my struggles, and creating a community for women on a similar path is a God-given desire. I donāt know a lot, but I believe that with all my butter-loving heart. Itās not my intention to completely exclude men here, but Iām a woman, and Iām going to be writing from a heart for women. Ok, thatās that, yāall. Oh, and Iām not a ātrainedā writer, I tend to just put down whatever comes up. If it means anything to you, Iād love to hear. This will be a safe place to share, question, grow, and love God together. Are you with me?
How does this work?
Well, honestly, Iām still figuring this out myself. One thing I like about this platform is the option for paid subscriptions. Hear me out, please? I have lots of places online where I share free content - YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and my website. Iām not planning to expire any of those. However, Iām intrigued with the idea of creating an environment to share more vulnerably with a select group of people who truly connect with my words and thoughts and want to be in a community together. I think a paywall provides that option. And honestly, times are tight on the farm and with my other revenue streams these days. I donāt expect to make much on this platform, but every little bit helps. And, like I said above, this just feels right, so I will stick around and see what God has in store.
Iāll share posts and ānotes" (on the feed) that all free subscribers can access. If you decide to join as a paid subscriber, youāll get access to more articles (as I get this ball rolling), some sort of podcast (me reading my posts, possibly some videos or recordings - still figuring this one out), a group chat, and Iām also throwing in a 15% unlimited use discount to my online shop (because why not?).
You can click below to subscribe at any level, and if you do, it will mean more than I can put in words. (They donāt always come easy.)
